I've been hitting the waterpark frequently with my kids where they sell the popular Dole Whip, made famous at Disneyland. Usually I refuse to purchase these pricey treats, but it doesn't stop me from craving them!

So one evening, I was dreaming up how nice it would be to taste a spoonful of the creamy pineapple goodness but lamenting that I didn't have any fresh or frozen pineapple on hand. Then I perked up when I remembered I had a case of canned, crushed pineapple.  I decided to give it a go and was thrilled with the results.  This Pineapple Freeze is a semi-healthy, delicious treat that can be easily duplicated time and again. 

What Ingredients Do I Need to Make Pineapple Freeze?

For this easy recipe, you just need 4 simple ingredients:

  • crushed pineapple 
  • vanilla ice cream
  • ice
  • vanilla protein powder

How Do I Make Pineapple Freeze?

Layer the ingredients in the blender in this order: pineapple, ice cream, protein powder and ice. Blend until just smooth, but don't overly blend or your Pineapple Freeze will turn out too runny. You can add a dollop of whipped cream when you serve it.  Delicious!
